Tell us more about what you do

Nine Feet Tall specialise in delivering complex change programmes. This can be anything from digital transformation through to organisational design or cultural change. We often say that we get the technology ready for the people and the people ready for the technology!

How did it feel to win the Flying the Flag for the South West Award at
the inaugural TBE Awards? What has been the impact?

We were so delighted. Our organisation is based in Bath and as well as our national client base which include Sainsbury’s, Poundland, Hotel Chocolat, NSPCC and Weetabix, we have also worked with a lot of clients in the South West such as TLT, Children’s Hospice South West and Rotork. Flying the Flag for the South West meant a lot to us as we are proud of our roots here and also our impact in the local community through our volunteering and pro bono work. We have a net promoter score of 77 which means our clients think our work is excellent and this reflects well on our region.

Last year was special for Nine Feet Tall as you were also named one of The Sunday Times ‘Best Places to Work 2024’. Tell us more about that

Our people have always been at the heart of Nine Feet Tall, and this award was special as it was based on feedback from our team, to get a true and honest picture of life within the company. We think the high scores which lead to our place on the list were down to our commitment to strong ED&I [Equality, Diversity and Inclusion] values, our passion for Learning and Development and also our focus on team wellbeing through healthy working practices, social connectivity and wellness. Our Glassdoor score is 4.7 out of 5 and 95% of reviewers recommend Nine Feet Tall as a place to work so we know we have an engaged and happy team.

What would be your advice to anyone looking to enter TBE Awards?

You should enter! This is a great opportunity to showcase your hard work and reward the teams who make your business a success. The team at TBE go above and beyond to put on events and publish articles which help our enterprise ecosystem in the South West. We were so pleased to be part of TBE Awards last year.

Have you made any new connections as a result of winning the award?

We enjoyed networking at the awards night and learned more about many fantastic businesses in our community. Since winning, we have begun work with two new clients in the South West, I’m sure the award helped spread the word about the work we do.

What have you been working on since winning?

We have been very busy! Our team has expanded, and we have onboarded four new consultants on our 9Start Programme. We have started work with multiple new clients already this year and also been asked to extend engagements with many existing clients. We are now part of Talan Group and we have collaborated with them on several projects to deepen our service offering.

What are your plans for the coming months?

More of the same! We are also looking forward to exhibiting at the TBE Charity Expo at Bath Racecourse in June as this is always a good opportunity to hear about the excellent work in the sector and connect with new people.

Are you using your award win in your marketing?

Yes, we have referenced the accolade in our client proposals, some press releases and on social media. We are very honoured to have been recognised.

Are you planning to enter TBE Awards again this year?

I am confident that our team will be entering again, and we look forward to another great awards night!
