What judges are looking for

Alongside the entry criteria, judges are keen to see entries demonstrating a commitment to:

  • Sustainability
  • Diversity, equality and inclusion
  • Growth in sales, profits and/or achieving your objectives in addressing the needs of your customers or target beneficiaries

Entry requirements and conditions

The following entry requirements and conditions apply to all submissions to the TBE Awards and are designed to ensure a fair and transparent process for all entrants.

  • The TBE Awards are open to any individual, partnership, company or organisation carrying out their business in Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire
  • There is no limit to the number of categories you can enter, provided each entry is relevant to the category criteria
  • Entries must focus on work completed in the last 12 months
  • All entries should be clear, honest and evidence based, with examples or data included where relevant
  • Entries must be submitted online via www.tbeawards.co.uk by midnight on 25/09/2026. Entries received after the closing date will not be considered
  • No responsibility will be accepted by the competition organisers for any incomplete entries. If you have not submitted all of the information required, you will not be entered into the competition
  • Finalists may be asked to provide additional information or supporting material
  • The Awards organisers reserve the right to move entries between categories if appropriate
  • Entries are judged by an independent panel and judges’ decisions are final
  • There can be no appeal against the decision of the organisers, or any judge or committee appointed by them; their decisions must be accepted as final in respect of all matters concerning this competition, including the interpretation of these rules and conditions
  • Should the organisers consider sufficient entries have not been received, they reserve the right to reduce the number of prizes to be awarded. Any funds received for entering the awards will be returned to the entrant in this instance
  • One condition of entry is that all entrants co-operate with The Business Exchange South West Limited for the publication of a story about their business (whether before or after the announcement of the winners) and any other media coverage that may be given to their business
  • The organisers will take reasonable steps to avoid disclosure of any information expressly identified by entrants as confidential. However, they accept no responsibility for any failure of confidentiality. Entrants should take appropriate steps to remove or identify commercially sensitive information and protect any patentable, registrable or otherwise confidential intellectual property
There is a £10 admin fee per entry, with the exception of the Charity/Not-For-Profit of the Year category and Rising Star Award. Relevant discount codes can be found on the individual category pages.
